I have been invited to speak at the Astrological Society of Connecticut's April 2009 meeting. (Yes, it's a year away; their lecture season runs September-May.) I will be speaking, of course, on 2012 and Mayan-Aztec astrology. And, on Saturday, John Major Jenkins will be doing a workshop so I get to meet him! He is on my list of people to I'd like to meet!
Since I've been feeling awful all week, it was nice to get the call a little while ago. I'm unemployed, involuntarily, and spending a lot of time doing discouraging job searches. This lecture isn't for a year, and doesn't help me financially NOW of course, but it's a morale boost.
And, of course, it's a burner day today.
