Fragment of weird dream

I lost most of this dream, which I had not last night, but the night before (Sunday night). What's left is this:
A group of people with very large heads. Their skulls were see-through, Plexiglas or something similar. Instead brains in their heads, they had fetuses. The fetuses were so tightly compressed that the fissures and folds in their skin looked like the surface of a brain. These were supposed to be some kind of evolved people. I don't know how the fetuses got into their heads or why having a fetus for a brain made them evolved or smarter or better.
Looking back at it, it was pretty gross, but in the dream it didn't seem like it was.
